It’s really almost here. Easter. That means we are full-on into Spring here in Texas.
Easter seems early this year – at least to me. It’s funny, though — you always hear people say that ‘Easter seems early’ or ‘Easter seems late.’ You never hear anyone say, ‘You know, Easter is at exactly the right time this year!’
Our dining room got a solid Easter treatment this year. I pretty well never do the same thing twice, so I tried to think of something different to do using my hydrangea bunnies. They like to sit on the table, as featured in this post. I had really wanted to put them on my mantle this year, but WOW did they look bad against the gray color of my fireplace. So – back to the dining room they went. They may have to resume their place of honor on the dining table next year – we’ll see.
I also made a quickie little sign. Again – it was not my intention to go from a Valentine’s sign to an Easter sign on my mantle – I do actually put other things up here normally. But, I am happy to say that I really like this little guy. He’s made exactly like the Valentine’s sign shown here, and he’s just painted/stained with leftovers from the garage. Gotta love an almost-free project. He’s a keeper, though. Something about him feels right at home to me.
I hope you all enjoy your Easter!
